For their sponsored project held by RIM Blackberry at the Art Center College of Design, designers Kiki and Daniel had to incorporate an interface that integrates human emotions with the concept of social networking. The result of this exercise was the Empathy concept. The phone is used in conjunction with a biometrics ring that is worn by the user to collect “emotional data”. Spec-wise it features a transparent OLED screen that becomes transparent when not in use and opaque during interaction. The front is all touch surface, while on the back there is a physical keyboard.

As Daniel describes the interface:

It is of course touch based and all the user’s connections are shown graphically so you can see who is connected to whom. Each contact has an avatar that is encompassed by two colored rings. The inner colored ring shows the contact’s previous emotional state, and the outer ring represents the contact’s current emotional state. It is important to show the shift in emotions in order to see how an event has affected that contact.
Another important feature that we felt was important was the “Emotional Health Chart”. This chart would monitor the user’s emotional health through an indefinite period of time. One would be able to see how a certain event, or phone call/ message has affected the user. Obviously, if the chart shows someone is always upset, there would be a problem… If permitted, a user would be able to view other user’s charts as well.

Ages and ages ago, a video went round of a Nokia concept, called Morph, that seemed to be set wayyyyyy in the future, ‘cos it was a bendy, wearable phone. But, as we all know, science marches ever onwards, and according to the latest video from the Nokia Conversations blog, they’re actually trying to develop the tech to make bendy phones a reality:
Ooh, that could be pretty damn cool, when the boffins involved get it working. Of course, it most likely won’t be an entire suit made of rubber, although just off the top of my head, I can think of at least one person who’d like it if it was. But I, for one, am all for bendy, wearable technology, since it takes us that teeny little bit closer to the Mass Effect universe, which’d be ace.
Basically, what I’m saying is that I want an omni-tool…
However, it’s fair to say that the bendy, stretchable phone technology wasn’t the most advanced thing on display in that particular Nokia blog, because something else the research team are working on has the word “nano” in it, and that automatically means it’s more high-tech. And scifi-ish.
Yes, Nokia’s researchers are working on a nanonose, and that’s fine by me, because I think ‘nanonose’ may be my new favourite word ever. Of course, I’m having a bit of trouble seeing what the actual applications for this in the world of consumer mobile phones are. I suppose it’s possible Nokia envisage a future where we’ve relentlessly strip-mined this planet down to the bedrock (‘cos that’s what we humans are good at, dammit), and where we’ve created an atmosphere made primarily of airborne death.
In that situation, a future evolution of the Nokia N8 that tells you precisely how long you have to live before the sky eats your flesh would be useful, I suppose, but since we’ll be living in sterile bunkers by then, it might be a bit limited in application.
What? I’m a scifi fan, we live and breathe hideous dystopias, they’re like catnip to us…
Anyway, basically, all very advanced stuff, but my complaint is that they’re still not using carbon nanotubes. Come on, every boffin in the world, make it happen!

Question by no clue about cars: How do you replace a 2001 Chevy Cavalier O2 sensor?
The check engine light came on. I took it to a mechanic. They ran some diagnostics and replaced spark plugs and wires. I drove it around for a while and the check engine light came on again. This time the same mechanic’s diagnostics said the O2 sensor needs to be replaced.
Is it possible to confuse the diagnostic results so that the plugs and wires were changed instead of the O2 sensor? In other words, do you think the mechanic is incompetent?
Is there only 1 O2 sensor on this particular car?
How difficult is it to change for someone who only does light maintenance on their car?

If you can get the car up, you should be able to change out the sensor. It’s typically located pre-catalytic convertor, in the pipes (it has wires coming out of it…can’t miss it). Grab the Hayne’s Manual for your car. It’ll tell you how many there are and where they are. I will say that it may be tough…all of that heat and expansion/contraction may make it difficult to move, so be ready for it.

If you can’t see the word it is ok. Just want to say that Apple product most of the time is overrated or overprice. Don’t you all agree people are so interested of their product it is because of their design is special and different among others but compare to other product like a normal CPU with Mac laptop it cost more cheaper to own a CPU than a Mac.

ASUS Lamborghini VX2

If yellow is not your color, ASUS also has a pure black version, although I was unable to find any photos of it. The yellow will prove the more popular version though and will likely be easier to locate in an e- or re-tailer.

Overall the VX2 looks quite similar to the VX1, although there are a few minor changes. The ASUS and Lamborghini logos remain in the same positions, although the faux intake is larger.

There are a few LEDs located right below this mesh which light up when the respective function is being used. While in use, these lights are of virtually no use, but others sitting on the other side of the table with jaws dropped will notice them.

The bottom is where things get interesting. What's the first thing you notice? Would it be the hubcap?
This hubcap is modeled after those found on the stock Gallardo. Stock meaning non-Spyder, non-Superleggera. It's simply here to be visually appealing, and that it does well. It's not exhaust however, but rather underneath is a leaf-blower fan to blow warm air out the nearest exit.

On the right side of the laptop you'll find an express port, media card reader, IR port, audio ports, single USB port, firewire port, exhaust area, modem port and finally the power jack. On the left side is the LAN port, video out, VGA, dual USB ports, DVI port and the optical drive. The back of the notebook is clean of anything except the Kensington's security port.

Design and Build

Unlike the SL-series ThinkPad the Edge models don't share the common look and feel of other ThinkPad models. The all-black exterior has been replaced with a silver-trimmed border with multiple glossy and matte screen cover options. The Edge 15's build quality seems to be a step down from the 13 and 14-inch versions. The whole black body is replaced with silver trimmed border with matte screen and multiple glossy cover options.

The glossy red (and highly reflective) finish of our sample system is about as bold a ThinkPad design statement as we've ever seen, and the combination of the lid and the silver trim does make you wonder. There is a LED-illuminated ThinkPad logo. Its build quality has been downgraded, but it is not so bad either.The ThinkPad Edge 15 has easy access to internal components through two access panels on the bottom of the notebook. One panel houses the SIM-card and WWAN PCIe slot while the other is to access the system memory, CPU and hard drive.

Screen and Display

As its name suggests, the Edge 15 has a 15.6-inch widescreen, which is ideal for multi-taskers who work with two or three applications open at a time. The 1,366 by 768 resolution does prevent the Edge 15 from fitting more content on the screen (fewer pixels).

Compared to other 15-inch panels on the market, this one rates below average with very poor contrast. Higher screen resolutions, as well as anti-glare screens, are available in enterprise laptops like the Lenovo ThinkPad T410 ($1,484.00 Direct, ) or you can upgrade to a 17-inch widescreen.

Keyboard and Touchpad

The layout has been updated over the years, but the keyboard could always be identified as "ThinkPad." With the new design, Lenovo took a hint from other new keyboard designs hitting the market and blended a combination of form and function. The keyboard has Chiclet/island-style with wide keys. The keys are sufficiently large and pretty tactile too. It is very comfortable to type on this keyboard.

The touchpad is large compared to most of the laptops. It has smooth matte finish, so you can easily glide on it. The touch-pad is very responsive and no need to do any adjustments out of box. Overall, the touchpad was pleasant to use, with a fast response time and no discernable lag. Sensitivity was excellent and no adjustment was needed out of the box. This particular touchpad has some multitouch capabilities, including pinch-to-zoom and pivot-rotation.

Port and Performance

We clearly aren't entirely won over by the system's looks, but the larger-than-we'd-like design does allow for a wide selection of ports and features. A seven-in-one multi-card reader is found up front, whilst a single USB port and the standard six-cell battery adorn the rear. To the right, you get a further two USB ports, an integrated DVD writer and a socket for the bundled 65W power adapter. Rounding things off on the left is Gigabit Ethernet, a USB/eSATA port, a headphone jack, and both HDMI and VGA out. Though the Edge 15 is running one of the newest Intel Core processors, namely the 2.13GHz Intel Core i3-330M, though it's not the speediest. Performance would have fared a lot better had Lenovo included 4GB of memory. Temperature remained under control, didn’t exceed 100F, across palmrest, keyboard areas. The Edge 15 remained quite in all our tests and Fan noise is also minimal under normal usage.

Battery

The Edge 15 is powered by standard 6-cell battery. In our test, with the screen brightness reduced to 70% and adjusted windows OS to balanced profile, it manages to run for 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Design

The ProBook’s dark brown “Caviar” brushed-aluminum wrapping is not only stylish, but it’s also more durable than the ABS plastic used on many notebooks. The screen cover instead of being plastic on the 4510s is now brushed metal which feels stronger and looks much nicer. The chassis is 1.4 inches thick and weighs in at 5.3 pounds; as with most 15-inch notebooks, it's a bit too hefty for toting around all day but manageable for short jaunts.

The ProBook 4520s’s 15.6-inch display is framed by a glossy black bezel with a 2-megapixel Webcam mounted on top. While many laptops include a small keyboard, sometimes with smaller-than-average keys, The ProBook 4520s manages to fit not only a full-size keyboard, but even a numeric keypad, which will be particularly appealing to users who do a lot of calculations or number entry on a daily basis. The individual key presses are quiet without loud clicking sounds as you type. The depth of each key press is excellent, though some people may dislike the flat, chicklet-style keys. Overall the keyboard layout is extremely nice for a 15-inch laptop.

The touchpad is gesture-enabled for rotating images, zooming in, pan out, and scrolling through web pages - and all the gestures work just fine. And like the HP Mini 210 netbook, the ProBook 4520s incorporates its two mouse buttons within the touchpad. Tracking speed was excellent and we had no problems with input lag. Multitouch gestures were quickly recognized and worked smoothly. The touchpad refresh rate was very high, allowing us to draw fast circles with very little trailing effect on the cursor.

Port and Performance

It comes with a DVD Writer, four USB, eSATA, HDMI, audio, and VGA-out ports. Not only this, the HP ProBook 4520s also incorporates Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 wireless connectivity. A 2MP webcam and mic, ExpressCard slot, multicard reader, and fingerprint reader completes the HP ProBook 4520s' impressive feature set.
HP offers preconfigured models with the Intel Core i3 350M processor as well as the Intel Core i5 430M, the ProBook 4520s is your basic middle-of-the-road performer. If you take the route of going custom, HP lets you chose from a much larger range of processors up to the 2.66GHz Core i7 620M as well as ATI Radeon 4350 dedicated graphics. you can tune into that occasional movie while taking a break from work, and the ProBook 4520s does a pretty good job here. Both 720p and 1080p HD videos played smoothly on the HP ProBook 4520s, and its audio-visual experience was good.

Battery

The HP ProBook 4520s comes with a standard six-cell battery and runs on 32-bit Windows 7 Professional edition. In testing we found that the battery life is around the three hour mark in normal use (i.e. no gaming). Review BlackBerry Torch 9800

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 offers a few firsts for RIM and AT&T. The Torch is RIM's first attempt at a BlackBerry that sports both a full QWERTY keyboard and a touchscreen. It's also the first commercially available BlackBerry that runs the new BlackBerry 6 operating system, which offers a host of new features that include a pull-down notification curtain, universal search, and new virtual QWERTY keyboards.

While the device is largely an improvement over other BlackBerry models, there's still a number of areas that put the Torch 9800 behind some of the competition running other, more modern operating systems. Its battery life could use some work, too, but overall it's a device that BlackBerry fans will want to consider when purchasing their next smartphone.

The first thing you'll notice about the Torch, obviously, is that it looks very much like the current crop of BlackBerry devices. Besides that fact that yes, it slides open, you're basically dealing with the same industrial design that we've come to know from RIM over the past two years or so. Sure, there are variations on a theme, but side-by-side with the Bold 9700, it's obvious to see where Torch got its looks from.

The size and shape of the device is nearly identical to the 9700, and in fact, its dimensions (4.4-inches up and down by 2.4-inches across when closed) are within spitting distance of the simpler, portrait QWERTY model. The thickness differs by a tiny margin (the Torch is 0.57-inches thick, while the Bold is 0.56-inches), though for some reason it feels much more significant when holding the two in your hand. Compared to more streamlined devices like the Captivate or iPhone 4... well, it has a full keyboard, okay? The Torch keeps the familiar, metal-like (it's plastic) bezel around the edges of the phone, looping around back just as with the Bold, though this time it's split in two pieces due to the separate screen and keyboard portions of the phone. The front of the device is mostly taken up by the Torch's 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen (480 x 360, just like the Storm and Storm2), though you'll find the familiar BlackBerry call, menu, back, and end buttons and optical trackpad just below the display. Along the right side of the phone is a 3.5mm headphone jack, volume rockers, and user-assignable convenience key (it defaults to the camera), while the left side houses only the Micro USB jack. Up top there are mute and lock buttons, while the phone's 5 megapixel camera and LED flash sit in a familiar spot along the back of the phone.

The HP TouchSmart tm2t does a pretty good job at combining these element, and offers a much better battery life than its predecessors thanks to the inclusion of a low-voltage processor from Intel. The new TouchSmart tm2t does an about-face and opts for a quiet, cool and long-running Intel CULV processor packaged in a very attractive metal casing that shares design elements with HP's high end Envy notebook line.

Tablets in this line start at $829, and depending on how you configure yours, you can land decent battery life and switchable graphics. The biggest surprise, though, is that HP can put together a compelling ultraportable convertible tablet for less than $1,000—$919, in the case of the model we looked at.

Design and Build

The TouchSmart is HP's consumer tablet PC with a convertible design. Convertible means it converts from a "normal" looking laptop to a tablet (in tablet mode, it looks like a large slate). With Windows 7's greater support for tablet features. Weighing over 4.7 pounds and measuring nearly 1.6 inches at its thickest section, the tm2t is one of the heaviest and chunkiest convertible tablets to cruise through our labs. That’s partially because this notebook omits an optical drive.

The tm2t also has a thinner profile, tapering from 1 inch in the front to 1.5 inches in the back to accommodate the beefy battery. The tm2t’s brushed aluminum body is attractive and relatively discreet. As usual, HP insists on engraving some fancy patterns in it – whether you like these decorations or not is all a matter of taste, but it’s bound to deter at least a few potential buyers.

Display and Touch Screen

The TouchSmart has a 12.1" LED backlit gloss HP BrightView display with a Wacom digitizer that supports both 2-finger multi-touch via the capacitive layer and active digitizer input via the included pen that lives in a silo on the notebook's left side. The Wacom digitizer supports pressure sensitivity in applications such as Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Corel Painter 11. Sixteen seconds. That’s how long it took for HP’s TouchSmart software to load its photo app. And that’s just one example of this suite’s sluggishness. On the downside the screen isn’t perfect – its color reproduction and viewing angles are so-so as is often the case with tablets.

On the other hand the touch screen works exceptionally well. It responds quickly and intuitively to both the included stylus and to the convenient multi-touch gestures that let you pinch-zoom in/out and rotate objects on the screen. It also comes with the same set of tools included with HPs touch-screen desktops – a drawing board, a custom Twitter client and some other fun stuff.

The touch screen supports two fingers (sorry, no idea if it's the hardware or software that limits it to two), and like the iPhone it's a capacitive multi-touch display. That means you can pinch-zoom, rotate an image or document with two fingers and do gestures. The screen requires a slightly firmer touch than the very light touch HP TX that used an N-Trig rather than Wacom digitizer. But it's definitely easy and fun to use. The tm2t’s Wacom digitizer and included pen provided pinpoint accuracy and did a good job of rejecting inadvertent palm touches on the screen

Keyboard and Touchpad

The TouchSmart tm2t sports a spacious layout, and we like that it has dedicated action keys above the numbers. The lid and keyboard deck are brushed aluminum and look as chic as the Envy line. Both the lid and deck have an abstract pattern that's typical for HP notebooks. You can do anything from adjust the brightness to turn Wi-Fi on and off quickly and easily.

Although we like the soft touch finish on the keys, which prevents slippage, the keys felt a bit chintzy and hollow as we typed, especially toward the edges of the keyboard. The oversized trackpad is taken from the HP Envy line and it features the same buttonless design. When you press the left and right button areas, there's a tactile click so there are switches under the unbroken surface. HP and Synaptics have improved the driver since the first Envy models shipped, and the trackpad is easy to work with.

Performance

Using a low-voltage (CULV) processor has some obvious pros and cons. The most positive aspect is that they are incredibly efficient, giving you both a cool and quiet laptop and an excellent battery life. On the downside, they don’t give you the same performance as a mainstream CPU. While this system’s no speed demon, the 1.2-GHz Core i3-U330 processor and 3GB of RAM inside the tm2t combine to offer fairly snappy performance, when you’re not fighting the touchpad.

Some of the apps you might consider installing on the TouchSmart tm2t are 3D games. Unlike most ultraportables, the tm2t makes use of a dedicated graphics chip. In addition to the 1.2GHz Intel Core i3-330UM processor’s integrated graphics, the tm2t also includes an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 graphics chip.

Battery

HP claims that the included 6-cell battery is capable of almost 10 hours of uninterrupted use, but even if that is probably possible in theory you probably never use it with all the bells and whistles disabled. There’s no need to exaggerate in this case, because the Touchsmart TM2T offers excellent battery life regardless – it runs for around 5 to 7 hours depending on your current power plan.

The Asus 1201PN has a 12.1 1366 x 768 pixel (720p HD) display, with 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and HDMI output for connecting to HDTV.

Now Asus has answered the call for more endurance with its 1201PN ($499), which kicks that desktop part to the curb in favor of a power-sipping, single-core N450 CPU.

Design

The Eee PC 1201pn’s glossy black-plastic frame gives it a look similar to a shrunken version of the Asus UL50VF, a 15.6-inch laptop, but it's slightly more portable, at 3.2 pounds and 1.3 inches thick when closed. Despite its graphics horsepower, the 1201PN remains very easy to carry, weighing just 3.2 pounds and measuring 1.06 inches to 1.3 inches at its thickest point.

The plastic lid (also available in red, blue, or gray) shows up smudges and attracts dust a bit too readily for our tastes. The left side of the 1201PN houses a VGA port, tiny AC adapter jack, HDMI output, and a USB port. You'll find two more USB ports, an SD Card slot, headphone and mic jacks, an Ethernet port, and a Kensington Lock slot on the right.

Keyboard and Touchpad

The Eee PC 1201PN has more surface area for a wider, more comfortable palm rest. The ergonomic chiclet keyboard is full-size, with concave keys that direct your finger to the center of the surface. Weighing less than 3.5 lbs, the thin and light Eee PC 1201PN is concise and compact so you can use it on a plane or any tight space with room to spare.

The multi-touch trackpad lets you easily zoom in and out to view photos or read documents simply by sliding two fingertips together or apart. The keyboard's easy to type on and comfortable to work at on a desk or perched in one's lap. The dimpled multitouch touchpad below is flush with the rest of the keyboard deck but responds well to finger gestures. A thin chromed-plastic rocker bar for button-pressing could have been a little more ergonomic.

Screen

The glossy 12.1-inch, LED-backlit display is about as roomy as netbook displays get, which matches most laptop displays around 13 and 14 inches. With display resolution up to 1366 x 768, you’ll experience crisp, true-to-life visuals while streaming content on-the-go. Plus the LED-backlit screen saves energy for longer battery life on long flights and lengthy films.

Images and video looked as bright and crisp as they did on the Eee PC 1201N we reviewed previously. Above the screen, a 0.3-megapixel Webcam offers video conferencing and picture-taking capabilities, with a passable frame rate and middle-of-the-road image quality.

Port and Performance

Connect, communicate, and explore online with features that transform your wireless world. High-speed wireless N connectivity is five times faster than 802.11b/g, and, with built-in Bluetooth support, your Eee PC 1201PN lets you transfer data easily between Bluetooth-enabled devices. The integrated web camera and microphone lets you Skype face-to-face with friends, family, and colleagues in crisp, clear quality. 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive are increasingly standard offerings for higher-end Netbooks.

Windows 7 Home Premium is preinstalled, which is an improvement over the Windows 7 Starter many Netbooks offer. By going to a single-core Atom processor, the 1201PN is more energy efficient than its dual-core predecessor, despite using a smaller 47WH (6-cell) battery. According to Nvidia, this Ion processor will be the heart of its future Ions with Optimus, which will be able to switch between discrete graphics and the integrated Intel processor and theoretically improve battery life performance. But, we're not sure this Ion GPU has enough graphics punch to really be of use to most people in a dedicated graphics capacity.

Battery Life

The six-cell battery lasted only 4 hours and 17 minutes on the LAPTOP Battery Test (continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi) We expect about five hours from the average netbook; the 1201pn came up considerably short, though it should eke out closer to five or six hours when performing light tasks such as word processing.

Design and Build

Like the Y450 before it, the Y460 has a black lid with a hexagonal pattern that reminds us of the Q*bert video game, and a copper-colored accent that surrounds the lid. The new Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 looks completely redesigned from the previous generation. At 13.4 x 9.2 x 1.2 inches and 5 pounds, the Y460 sits in between competitors like the lighter Dell Inspiron 14 (4.8 pounds) and the heavier Toshiba Satellite E205 (5.2 pounds).

The paint and plastic finishes seem to resist scratching from standard abuse and the unique lid texture does an excellent job of hiding fingerprints. The palmrest and touchpad sections have good support with little or no flex. Other cool design elements on the new Y460 include JBL speakers beneath the screen and a unique matte and glossy screen cover that helps hide fingerprints.

Screen and Display

The 14-inch LCD runs at 1,366 x 768 resolution, and its LED backlighting is even and surprisingly bright. Colors are richly saturated, and if you’re looking for Full HD there’s an HDMI port on the side which you can use to hook up your nearest HDTV. The panel rates about average with good color and contrast, but falls short of some of the high-end screens like you might find on a HP ENVY or Apple MacBook.

As the review, IdeaPad Y460 is also a pretty good multimedia entertainment solution with a glossy LED-backlit 14 inch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio. Built-in 1.3 megapixels video camera can be pretty handy at times. Built-in JBL stereo speakers also perform very well while playing movies and music.

Keyboard and Touchpad

SlideNav Control - The coolest feature of the Y460 is a touch-sensitive bar above the keyboard. If you touch it, you’ll see white lights that correspond to shortcuts for things like Documents and Sound Recorder, and you can launch these items just by sliding your finger in the direction of the icon and then lifting your finger. You can also customize these shortcuts. Sliding your fingers left to right locks the screen, placing a giant zipper across the desktop; sliding them right to left again unlocks the screen. Sliding right to left with the screen unzipped/unlocked changes the wallpaper.

Although it looks ThinkPad-like, the keyboard on the IdeaPad Y460 didn’t feel like it. The keyboard is a full-size design without a numberpad with full function-key access on the top row. The textured touchpad, on the other hand, has a perfect balance of friction and comfort.

Lenovo includes a large multi-touch enabled Synaptics touchpad on the Y460. It supports two-finger scrolling, pinch zoom, rotation and three-finger flick. The keyboard itself feels very comfortable to type on and requires light to moderate pressure to activate each key. The non-Chiclet keyboard is almost refreshing to see with most manufacturers taking that route on newer notebook designs. Key noise is minimal with each keypress emitting a soft click when the key is fully triggered.

Performance

With its 2.4-GHz Core i5 CPU and switchable graphics that feature an ATI Radeon HD 5650 chip with 1GB of video memory, the IdeaPad Y460 provided strong performance. The performance of the IdeaPad Y460 is nothing short of amazing. The Intel Core i5 processor combined with the ATI Radeon 5650 was able to handle whatever we threw at it and still maintain great framerates in games.

Battery

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 has the advantage of switchable graphics when it comes to battery life. In integrated graphics mode, the Y460 lasted 4 hours and 38 minutes on the LAPTOP Battery Test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi.

At first i am not too convince on this photography style cause i am not really a firm believer in available light...cause like the real world most of the stuff that we do is fake or staged..in photography it means sstudio lights or flash to bring out the lights...but after the session i learn a lot.

What i found out is there is no fix rules in creating good photograph..

Ok first let talk about the wireless router cause that is the heart of the high speed wireless router..

Buffalo has announce that they are going to relese a DD-WRT firmware for this model but it is nowhere to be seen. Fear not. go get it here:-

Why dd-wrt firmware ? cause the stock firmware sucks..that why..

You can goto Here.. to download this buffalo_to_ddwrt_webflash-MULTI.bin

After you have download that file just flash it by going to the default buffalo firmware administration page -> Update -> select local file -> and choose the firmware you have just downloaded. During this process do not interrupt it till it is finish. You can know it is done or not by looking at the buffalo router diag led..if it is red blinking..then dont touch it..if it is notred blinking means it is completed..

Wireless Speed:
Well this depend on what wireless card you laptop or pc is using. If all run on N wireless card which my Alienware m11x have..then you will get a 300mbps wireless network. And if it detect one of your card is running on wireless G then it will downgrade toi 54mbps wireless network. Put it this way you need all wireless adapter to run on N mode to get high speed.,

Security
For optimum performance you need to run at WPA2 -> AES encryption.. The higher security level you put the less speed you get. It impact the speed of your wireless network and also the range.

Review.

Ok the review begin. It always started with the Alienware m11x. The spec says that m11x come with a 5.1 channel output and sound card. That's when i try to get my hand on some serious good 5.1 channel headphone.

There are lots of choice in the market. But i would say majority of them is not a REAL 5.1 channel headphone. Those are actually 2 channel headphone with emulated 5.1 or even 7.1 channel sound via an external usb sound card. I dont need all that...otherwise my klipsch custom-1 would do fairly good too..

I needed a REAL 5.1 channel headphone...which means 3 speaker on each side of the headphone..and that when i discover Roccat Kave...

This headphone is heavy. Yes heavy. If you wear it the wrong way then it will put stress on certain part of your head. This will make you uncomfortable..however wearing it correctly will make you comfy...The correct wearing style that works for me is to slightly position the top band towards the front and make sure the 3 pad is touching your top of the head to distribute the weight so that the weight is not center on your side of the ear..

The sound is superb with 2 sound profile game and movie but
it is really hard to notice the different so i would just stick with movie mode. The sound is superb when you are playing games taht support 5.1 channel. Watching movie with it is superb however please take note...

1.make sure your player support the 5.1 channel
2. the source is 5.1 channel

And the reason i give it 4.5/5 is because of the vibration and bass..by default you can hear bass and very minor vibration..but then it is not the headphone fault..it is because the crappy on board sound card is not powerful enough...
The fix is simple...get Creative X-FI external 5.1 channel usb sound card. Once your pair Alienware m11x with usb creative x-fi 5.1 channel usb external sound card and roccat kave...It was superb!!!!!

There is an external control on the Roccat Kave.You can set Center, Front, Rear and Sub directly fron the control. There is also a mute function for the headphone and microphone..

It is a shame that Starcraft 2 now cannot support microphone function. Hopefully Blizzard gonna fix it..Otherwise it will be fun to chat in Battlenet games...

Nokia E73 Mode will come to T-Mobile on June 16, now more and more people are talking about it.

WALL STREET, Manhattan- Apple CEO Steve Jobs has promised several more "extraordinary" products from the technology maker in 2010, after it released much better than expected earnings on Wall Street late yesterday.

Apple Inc recorded a 90% jump in profit for Q2. Apple recorded US $13.5 billion in sales for the period, exceeding investor expectation of US$12 billion is sales. Earnings per share were $3.33, up on expectations by Wall Street analysts at $2.43.

“We’ve launched our revolutionary new iPad and users are loving it, and we have several more extraordinary products in the pipeline for this year,” Apple CEO, the toast of Silicon Valley and Wall Street, said.

Apple shares on the Nasdaq (APPL) on Wall Street were put into a trading halt as earnings for the second quarter came in.

Virtually all Apple Inc products saw a surge in sales, despite an average US economy.

Apple Mac computers jumped 33 percent unit increase in sales compared to the same time last year, the iPhone sales were at 8.75 million , a 131 percent jump on last year.

Apple Inc also sold 10.89 million iPods during the quarter, down 1% on last year.
